Former NFL first-round pick Darron Lee was arrested in Ohio this week following accusations of battering his mother and the mother of his child.
According to TMZ, police were called to a residence in Dublin, Ohio around 5:30 PM on Monday, with Lee’s ex-girlfriend Lindsey McGlone claiming he attacked his mother, Candice Lee.
Lindsey told the police she arrived at the residence after Candice told her she did not feel safe around Darron and would later find the former Ohio State star sitting atop his mother with a raised fist while she lay on her back
The linebacker is accused of pushing Candice into a wall twice before throwing her to the floor and punching her repeatedly in the face and the back of the head, also pulling her hair.
Candice, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment, had swelling injuries on her left cheek and complained of head pain, according to police.
Lindsey also told the cops about an altercation that took place in October, claiming Darron had also attacked her after accusing her of cheating and threatening to kill their child. She said the former college star got on top of her while she was in bed and punched the pillow next to her head several times before choking her.

He is also accused of throwing her to the floor after getting off of her and following her out of the room, having already caused her ear to bleed when he threw her phone into a wall and it struck her in the head after ricocheting off it.
Darron denied attacking McGlone, claiming he was the one who was struck, though police claim to have seen photos of her injuries and broken cell phone.
The 28-year-old was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence.
Drafted as the 20th overall pick by the New York Jets in 2016, Lee was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs three years later and helped the team win a Super Bowl, though he was inactive for the game itself. He also featured on the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders rosters but hasn’t been in the NFL since the 2021 season.
