Taylor Swift has had a significant impact on the NFL, so much so, the upcoming Super Bowl 58 is expected to be the most-watched season finale in league history.
That is according to Zeta Global, a data company that tracked NFL ratings throughout 2023. The firm has revealed that ratings went up by seven percent following Swift attending her first Chiefs game.
With the Chiefs back in the Super Bowl this year and Swift planning to make an appearance, they’ve predicted that the quickly approaching matchup vs. the San Francisco 49ers will attract more viewers than ever before.
“Based on our data cloud, we’re projecting that this will be the highest watched Super Bowl in history,” CEO David Steinberg noted. “You saw ratings for the NFL go up by 7% collectively the day after Taylor Swift attended her first game.”
A recent study showed that Taylor is shown on television for less than a minute during games. Still, it’s enough to get people watching. She’s even influenced the commercials set to drop on Super Bowl Sunday as it’s reported that multiple beauty companies bought ad space because they figured Swifties would be watching the game.
Of course, not everyone is happy with her NFL presence as the pop star has been accused of ruining football. But they’re going to watch anyway.
