Taylor Swift might be the most famous person in the NFL that does not play in the league. The Chiefs are set to face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night, and Swift is expected to be there, according to Front Office Sports.
Fans are buying tickets to the Sunday night football game in the hopes that Taylor Swift will be at MetLife Stadium this weekend after she showed up at Arrowhead Stadium last week.
The Chiefs-Jets game now has something to talk about since many are expecting a huge blowout at the hands of the Chiefs as they face a struggling Jets team.
On Friday, NBC dropped a promo for this weekend’s matchup and it featured a handful of highlights with Taylor Swift’s song “Welcome to New York” playing in the background.
NBC wrote, “Taylor Made for Sunday Night.”
NBC is definitely hoping to get the same type of ratings that Fox received from Swift’s appearance. With Fox Sports giddily cutting to shots of the 12-time Grammy winner cheering Kelce from a luxury box at Arrowhead Stadium, the network drew 24.3 million viewers for its telecast of the Chiefs’ 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Despite the 41-10 trouncing over the Chicago Bears, the game especially captivated female viewers, ages 12 to 49, the network said.
Broadcasters frequently referenced the singer throughout the game, as cameras caught her sitting shoulder to shoulder with Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, and with the 33-year-old tight end’s friends in his luxury suite.
You can expect NBC to do much of this if the game gets truly out of hand early.
