It appears that some stores in Houston already see the writing on the wall when it comes to Deshaun Watson.
Not only does he not want to play for the franchise any longer, but he likely won’t even play next season due to his legal issues with some 22 women accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct during massages.
One store in the Houston area went ahead and started selling his jerseys half-off. The craziest thing about the below picture is that Will Fuller’s jersey is still full price and he is currently a member of the Miami Dolphins.
If the Texans decide to trade Watson before June 1, all $21.6 million of his remaining signing bonus accelerates into Houston’s cap for 2021.
But, if they wait until June 1 or later to trade him, $5.4 million counts toward the cap for 2021 and the $16.2 million of dead money.
