NFL Network’s Steve Smith Sr. offered his blunt assessment on the Cleveland Browns latest scandal involving Odell Beckham Jr. and Baker Mayfield.
The past few days have been nothing but drama between Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr and quarterback Baker Mayfield after OBJ’s father posted a video criticizing Mayfield’s play. Soon after, Odell would be excused from practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
His time with the team appears to be over.
Before Thursday night’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets, NFL analyst Steve Smith delivered a blunt message to Baker.
“[Odell Beckham Jr] is good and Baker Mayfield isn’t. Now I know Baker might not like this because I know he hears things, but son let me just tell you something. Now focus here, folks,” Smith said.
He then added: “You’re average. You’re not very good and Odell is moving on because of you, bro. Bottom line.”

In the comments section of the video posted, Beckham Sr. added more fuel to the flames saying Mayfield was “either hating on Odell or he just doesn’t want him shining.” He also replied with “#bigfacts” to a post calling Mayfield mediocre.
