When it comes to Colin Kaepernick — Stephen A. Smith has had various opinions on the free agent QB since he was blackballed from the league.
Smith, one of the biggest stars at ESPN, once criticized Kaepernick for calling an audible less than an hour before he was scheduled to work out for 25 NFL teams back in 2019. The ESPN star said Kaepernick had no interest in playing in the NFL.
At the same time, he has mentioned several times that the former 49ers QB deserves to get another shot in the league.
During a recent podcast episode, Smith responded back to all the critics who have called him a sell-out for daring to have anything negative to say about Kaepernick.
“The whole Colin Kaepernick situation…I got a whole bunch of people calling me ‘sell-out.’ Let me ve very clear, they can kiss my ass.”
