Mecole Hardman faces accusations from his former team.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has been accused of leaking the New York Jets game plan against Philadelphia to Eagles players he knew.
Ex-teammate Kenny Yeboah claimed Hardman gave his former teammates at Georgia the Jets game plan in order for Philadelphia to stay undefeated. The Eagles lost by 6.
Sauce Gardner also piled on over Hardman leaking information. The claims were bolstered by comments from Jets punter Thomas Morstead, who cautioned against trusting disgruntled former players.
Hardman was signed by the Jets last March after a four-year stint with the Chiefs. Kansas City traded for him in October after he only caught one pass in five games for New York.

On Friday, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said that Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman should consider filing a lawsuit if recent allegations by several members of the New York Jets are false.
‘Let me tell you something right now,’ said the sports journalist, at first. ‘If you are Mecole Hardman…that’s grounds for a lawsuit. Seriously. If [the claims] are false… that’s a career-ender.
‘What locker room could he possibly go in if somebody believes its true?! If evidence came out that this is remotely true… what locker room could he go in?!
‘Nah… he’s got to speak up today and if the Jets are wrong, you gotta consider legal action. Seriously, because it doesn’t get [worse than that]… does it get any worse than this as an indictment?’
During an interview with NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano last week, Hardman laughed at the idea of potentially returning to the Jets during the upcoming free agency period.
He was selected by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and spent the first four seasons of his career with them before he headed to the Jets last March.
After six regular season contests with limited production in Kansas City this past campaign, he struggled in the group’s first three playoff games.
In Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers, Hardman finished with three catches for 57 yards and the game-winning touchdown reception in overtime.
