Eric Reid’s return to the NFL was viewed as a huge step in the right direction, given that he had filed a grievance against the league and the owners, claiming they were colluding to keep him out of the NFL.
It went from being a great move to controversial as Reid would be subjected to a ridiculous amount of drug tests during his short time with the Carolina Panthers, which he called more than a coincidence and felt he was being targeted by the NFL.
On Wednesday, the Panthers safety was dealt a huge blow when the NFL and NFLPA stated they found no evidence showing that the Panthers safety was specifically targeted with random drug tests.
On Wednesday’s edition of ‘First Take,’ Stephen A. Smith blasted the league and the owners for targeting Reid because of his affiliation with Colin Kaepernick.
