Stephen A. Smith came up with a cheeky, yet practical, way to keep new ‘First take’ debate partner Shannon Sharpe on track this Tuesday.
After sitting opposite Skip Bayless for seven years, Sharpe found it difficult to get the ‘Undisputed’ host out of his head and ended up referring to Smith as “Skip” on multiple occasions during his debut on Monday.
Stephen A. was understanding enough to let it slide, but he offered his new debate partner some help on his second day, showing up with a name tag that may or may not help matters. We’ll see…
Shannon, though, would show off his expert pronunciation of Molly Qerim’s last name, something she says Stephen A. still struggles with, unnecessarily pointing out that it rhymes with the word “harem.”
Smith and Sharpe are already showing some great chemistry. They’re both loud and could get very animated at times, which makes for a fun show. Bayless, on the other hand, is getting talked over by his co-hosts and can hardly get a word in on occasion.
