If you saw the highlights of the Houston Texans matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, then you’d saw the sideline confrontation between Jalen Ramsey and head coach Doug Marrone.
It looks like there’s more to Jalen Ramsey’s trade request than getting into that confrontation.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith revealed that a source close to Ramsey tells him that his issues in Jacksonville have “nothing to with (head coach) Doug Marrone” and “everything to do with (VP of football operations) Tom Coughlin.”
The Jaguars are reportedly trying to maximize their return on a Ramsey trade, asking for as much as 2 1st-round picks to acquire him.
Ramsey has not missed a start since being taken No. 5 overall by the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft and he doesn’t plan on missing one when the team takes the field against the Titans on Thursday Night Football.
