Stephen A. Smith went in on a fellow journalist on his show this week while addressing his latest beef.
The ESPN show host seems to be at odds with someone new every month; it’s Marcellus Wiley this time around.
Wiley accused Smith of sabotaging Max Kellerman at ESPN because he was intimidated by Max’s intelligence. Stephen A. spoke about it on ‘The Breakfast Club’ recently, addressing it again on his own show. But he declined to fire back, insisting he has love for the former defensive end.
“The only thing that I would say to [Wiley] is ‘bro, really? A Black man is scared of the intelligence of a white dude, really?’ In the year 2023, we’re going to say something like that?” Smith said on ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show’.
Smith claimed he isn’t afraid of anyone’s intellect because he believes he is on par with, and even smarter than some of his contemporaries before going on to take a shot at Jason Whitlock.
“I think he’s a fat, no-good bastard who I despite to the core,” Smith said, refusing to name Whitlock but stressing that he was not referring to Wiley or Kellerman.

“They are not fat bastards who are seeds of the devil wishing nothing but Black folks harm,” he explained. “But I’ll leave that for another day, for when the time is right.”
This is likely in response to Whitlock threatening to “expose” Smith’s new debate partner Shannon Sharpe.
“Shannon Sharpe needs to cut it out,” Whitlock said on his ‘Fearless’ podcast last month. “I know what happened at FS1. And if Shannon and Stephen A. keep pushing this agenda, I’m going to expose all that I know. And I know all of it,” Whitlock said.
It’s going to be interesting to hear what Whitlock has to say after this.
