Stefon Diggs did not practice with the Bills last week as mandatory minicamp started, and the reason was a mystery until this week.
There were reports from Ben Volin of the Boston Globe “Diggs’s frustration is with his role in the offense and his voice in play-calling, per a league source close to the Bills’ locker room.”
Diggs had seemingly been upset ever since the Bills lost by 17 to the Cincinnati Bengals at home in the playoffs. During that game, his frustration was evident as he could be seen going off on Josh Allen on the sidelines. At the end of that playoff loss, cameras caught Diggs on the sideline waving his arms in front of Allen, who he was obviously making his frustration known. That memorable moment was before the star receiver stormed out of the locker room after the game.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said he was “very concerned” about this situation, but it appears things are being overblown.
NFL analysts and fans alike have all been trying to diagnose the issue that caused Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs to miss the first day of the team’s mandatory minicamp, but he has thrown another monkey wrench in the hoopla with his recent comments.
This week, Diggs took to Twitter and shared a message amid speculation.
“Lol now yaw just saying anything,” he tweeted before adding later that evening, “They can’t break me.”

13WHAM‘s sports director Mike Catalin added earlier this week, “The only part of this that isn’t total nonsense is that Diggs is upset about something. The rest of it is just loud guy at the end of the bar stuff.”
With 108 receptions for 1,429 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns in 16 games last season, it is clear that the Buffalo Bills are a much better team with him on the field and producing like he does.
Hopefully, the team can get everything squared away before the 2023 season begins.
