Stefon Diggs and J.C Jackson had fans wondering what the hell was going on after bizarrely holding hands on a play for an awkwardly long time.
The New England Patriots had a shock for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday as they managed a 29-25 upset to win just their second game of the season and give Bill Belichick his 300th win as a head coach.
But one particular play stood out to fans as confusing.
Jackson was given the responsibility of taking care of Diggs after running a deep route and improvising with Josh Allen. He did his best to cover the wide receiver and his best turned out to be just enough.
At one point, while Diggs was throwing his hands in the air to try to get a pass from Allen, the cornerback matched him so much, that he ended up holding his hands and would not let go until an incompletion was thrown.

Unorthodox, but it worked, though Jackson was certainly deserving of a holding call there.
Meanwhile, Diggs finished the game with six catches for 58 yards and a touchdown so there’s no suggestion that the CB shut him down. Still, the Pats ended up squeezing out a win anyhow.
