Stefon Diggs has been hit with a fine for pulling off a Steve Austin beer-themed celebration following one of his touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins last Sunday.
The wide receiver, who recorded six catches and 120 yards during the 48-20 win, celebrated wildly after getting into the endzone for the first of his three TDs, grabbing two beers from fans and smashing them together Stone Cold style before throwing the cans back into the crowd.
Diggs wasn’t even flagged for the celebration yet the NFL has deemed it unsportsmanlike, fining the wideout the sum of $13,659. The WR was handed a $10,609 fine for taunting during a Week 1 matchup last season.
The Dolphins were coming off an impressive performance against the Denver Broncos in which they scored 70 points but were no match for the Bills on the day, with Buffalo scoring on four of their five drives in the first half.
Quarterback Josh Allen threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns, running one in himself, while completing 21 of his 25 passes.
The Bills are set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London at 9:30 AM this Sunday. Fans are likely to smash lots of beer cans as the governor of NY has made it possible for them to start drinking bright and early.
