The Chicago Bears are in an enviable position now that the season is over.
Their status is pretty unique given that they have both the No. 1 overall draft pick and a quarterback boasting significant trade value.
Justin Fields is a wanted man around the league given the number of teams looking for a fresh start under center in 2024. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the team most strongly linked to the former Ohio State star and, according to the NFL Notifications account on X, they have already made an official offer.
The account is claiming that the Steelers have offered the Bears their second-round, No. 51 overall pick plus multiple later-round picks in exchange for the aforementioned QB. Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson’s name is also said to have come up in discussions, however, the Bears want Pittsburgh’s first-round slot, with the Steelers set to select at No. 20 on the first night as things stand.
Should the Bears trade Fields to Pittsburgh, or anywhere else for that matter, it would be safe to assume that Caleb Williams is headedto Chicago.
The former USC standout and 2022 Heisman winner has long been tipped to go first overall in 2024, though the current class is stacked with multiple big-name QBs, including the current Heisman, Jayden Daniels.
