During an appearance on NFL Network — Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Thomas Davis made some eye-popping comments about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Davis claimed Big ben ‘quit’ on the team as the 2019 campaign winded down.
That take really makes no sense as Ben has yet to be cleared to even throw a pass and we’re in the middle of February.
After that clip made some traction, Steelers offensive lineman Zach Banner took to Twitter and blasted Thomas, calling Davis’ comments “idiotic,” and said Thomas’ take was “uneducated and sad!”
The 37-year-old Roethlisberger had surgery on Sept. 23 to repair a season-ending elbow injury he suffered in Week 2. He remains the last remaining quarterback drafted in 2004 who is with his longtime team.

Eli retired and Philip Rivers and the Chargers mutually agreed to part ways.
