Colin Cowherd discussed Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ fall from grace in the past few games.
On Monday Night Football, the team dropped their 3rd game in a row after winning the first 11. They are now in danger of losing the AFC North lead to the Cleveland Browns who are 10-4 and surging in the right direction.
Things have gone from bad to downright miserable for the Steelers in the last three weeks, and you can really count four as they struggled against the Ravens who did not have Lamar Jackson.
Ben Roethlisberger is looking more and more like a 38-year-old quarterback as he completed 20 of 38 passes for just 170 yards with one touchdown and one interception against a Cincinnati team that gave up 30 points to the hapless Cowboys last week. In fact, Big Ben has thrown just six touchdowns and five interceptions in the last four weeks.
Cowherd believes the “Big Ben era” is over.
“It’s the elephant in the room,” Cowherd said. “They have to move off this thing. This is a 16-game schedule, and if you’re Pittsburgh, your standards are two or three playoff games after that. This is no longer a 19-game quarterback.”
