A viral video of Donald Trump receiving a thunderous ovation from fans at the Pittsburgh Steelers-New York Jets game is actually awfully misleading, according to folks in attendance.
One day after holding a rally in Pittsburgh, Donald Trump attended the Steelers-Jets prime-time showdown in Steel City. The highly-anticipated bout featured Davante Adams’ Jets debut, as well as Russell Wilson’s first start with the Steelers.
At one point of the game, a video emerged of the Steelers faithful apparently showing Trump with “USA USA USA” chants. Trump received those very chants when attending the Alabama-Georgia college football game last month.
But fans who were at the game claim that Donald Trump did not receive such a boisterous response from the crowd. One video here shows him being booed with a spectator screaming, “GET HIM OUTTA TOWN!!”

As for the “USA USA USA” chants? Apparently, those chants were actually for a Navy Seal veteran who was being honored during the contest. Others claim that Trump wasn’t even shown on the Acrisure Stadium jumbotron:
As for the football game itself, the Steelers cruised to a 37-15 blowout victory in a statement win that moved them to 5-2 on the year. With the Jets now falling at 2-5, the clock is ticking on Aaron Rodgers and the offense to get in sync with the playoff dreams quickly fading away.
Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination with no competition. He’s running against Vice President Kamala Harris, who was named the Democrat candidate after Joe Biden decided not to seek re-election.
Trump has close ties across the NFL, earning political donations from several owners that include Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys), Shad Khan (Jacksonville Jaguars), Jimmy Haslam (Cleveland Browns), Stephen Ross (Miami Dolphins) and Stan Kroenke (Los Angeles Rams).
Donald Trump Aims To Make History In 2024 Election
If Trump defeats Harris, he’ll become just the second U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms. Grover Cleveland remains president to have done so, serving in office from 1885 to 1889 and 1893 to 1897.
