The 2022 season didn’t go exactly as planned for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but there was still quite a silver lining after the team’s 28-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns. They finished with a 9-8 record, meaning head coach Mike Tomlin has never posted a losing season in his 16 years with the team.
That should’ve been the story, but the video from the game had people blasting some players on the squad.
The footage below shows a Steelers player on the ground and another one coming over to perform CPR on him before he gets up.
Not exactly the best look after what we witnessed with Damar Hamlin. Is this in poor taste? Yes. However, this type of celebration had been done for years by multiple teams and I’m sure the players did not have any ill intent behind it.
It was merely just bad timing.
Pittsburgh went 7-2 in its final nine games and would have had the chance to carry that momentum into the playoffs if the New York Jets defeated the Miami Dolphins. However, Miami escaped with an 11-6 win.

Pickett threw for 195 yards and a touchdown, and Najee Harris accounted for 84 yards and a score on the ground. Nice momentum to take them into the 2023 season.
