Mike Tomlin appeared on ESPN’s First Take on Monday morning to discuss Myles Garrett’s allegation against his quarterback, Mason Rudolph, and he was piping hot mad.
The Pittsburgh Steelers head coach stated he “took offense” to Garrett doubling down on his N-word allegation against Rudolph that he claims sparked the massive brawl between the Steelers and Browns back in November. The Browns star alleged that Rudolph called him a “stupid N-word.”
Garrett was interviewed by ESPN’s Mina Kimes for Outside The Lines and Tomlin took issue with that.
Tomlin went on ESPN and called out the network for their coverage of the entire saga.
“I fully support Mason Rudolph, we as an organization fully support Mason Rudolph and to be quite honest with you we were hacked off with what we saw this weekend not specifically with Myles Garrett, he’s been in the land that he’s in but what was displayed by ESPN and that panel, the way that the situation was presented, I don’t think that was fair to Mason Rudolph.”

“These accusations are serious. Not only in terms of Mason Rudolph’s character but his professional pursuits . . . It’s been a lot of negativity around Mason Rudolph. He got fined $50,000 for essentially getting beat up. His reputation was tarnished for the allegations,” Tomlin added on ESPN.
