Deshaun Watson has not been good at all since his return from suspension.
Deshaun Watson completed 15 of his 31 passes for 135 yards and an interception while adding three carries for 24 yards and a touchdown in a 17-10 loss to the Saints in Week 16. The Saints sacked him twice as well.
Since his return, Watson has thrown an interception in every game except when the Browns played the Ravens. On the year, he has two touchdowns and three interceptions while tossing for 703 yards.
Deshaun Watson has clearly not lived up to the Cleveland Browns’ expectations since they signed him to a whopping, fully-guaranteed contract amid horrifying legal charges.
As Rodger Sherman of The Ringer points out, Watson has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the entire league through his first four games. He dropped stats to prove it.
“The Browns adding Deshaun Watson would’ve been indefensible even if he was the best QB in the NFL. Instead, out of 41 QBs with 100 attempts, he’s: —40th in yards per attempt (between Colt McCoy & Joe Flacco) —41st in passer rating (dead last) —39th in TD/attempt —39th in TD/INT,” Sherman said in a Tweet. “On the plus side, the Browns gave up three first-round picks to get him and then signed him to the largest fully guaranteed contract in NFL history.”

Cleveland is guaranteed a losing season in coach Kevin Stefanski’s third year, which was shaped by Watson’s ban.
The Browns’ next game is against Washington.
