With the future of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson thoroughly up in the air as the NFL draft approaches, all eyes are on Baltimore with the most important position on the field remaining uncertain.
Ever since he revealed his trade request last month, Lamar Jackson has been facing an uncertain future. That was until he decided to take to Twitter and confuse everybody by what he posted.
Jackson posted a GIF on Twitter that featured a blushing emoji as his caption and Spongebob looking confused before he starts smiling.
Many thought news of a new deal was coming.

Could the smiley face mean that he’s close to a deal in Baltimore? Could it mean that he’s close to a deal elsewhere?
The Ravens used the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson, which would pay the quarterback $34 million this season if he signed his tender. He has not signed it as he seeks an extension, and no team has been willing to tender an offer sheet to Jackson due to the steep price of two first-round picks that would have to go back to Baltimore if Jackson ended up elsewhere.
Not to mention, there is no indication whether he has come down on hsi terms of wanting a fully guaranteed deal that is bigger than what Deshaun Watson got from the Cleveland Browns when they traded for him last offseason.
Jackson has played for the Ravens ever since he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was the 32nd overall pick and was selected as a quarterback. Since then, he has become a star player for the Ravens, earning multiple accolades, including the NFL MVP award in 2019.
He simply wants to get paid what he is worth.
