The Dallas Cowboys really got extremely lucky when CeeDee Lamb fell right into their laps with the 17th pick of the NFL Draft. It gives Dak Prescott even more weapons at his disposal.
Back in March, Amari Cooper got absolutely paid when he agreed to terms on a five-year contract worth $100 million. Seems like a lot, but NFL contracts are filled with all types of language and Cooper’s was no exception.
Sports writer Adam Levitan pointed out that Cooper has zero guaranteed dollars coming in after the 2021 season and noted that CeeDee lamb could be the long-term option as WR1 if he pans out to be great and the Cowboys choose to cut Cooper.
As always, the Cowboys have an out with Cooper’s contract if they choose to do so.
After catching 53 passes for 725 yards and 6 touchdowns in the 2018 season, Cooper followed that up with a career-high 1,189 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019.
