If you might be watching Super Bowl 58 with your kids, you’re going to have a really cool option as Nickelodeon’s booth will keep it very child-friendly.
The network is set to offer an alternate broadcast of the game that will target children and families while CBS will host the traditional iteration of the most-watched sports event in the United States.
The Paramount Global outlet will have sports broadcasters Nate Burleson and Noah Eagle on call, but characters from ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ will also be involved, with the titular favorite, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Patrick Star to weigh in. Voiced by Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke, the animated stars will help present the game to viewers as co-hosts.
They will be joined by Sandy Cheeks and Larry the Lobster, both voiced by Carolyn Lawrence, who will take control of the sidelines and live commentary.
Dora the Explorer, voiced by Diana Zermeno, and Boots, voiced by Ascher Colton Spence, will explain penalties while Young Dylan and Dylan Schefter from ‘NFL Slimetime’ will also be on duty.
It appears actor Gabrielle Nevaeh Green will miss out as she isn’t scheduled to be in the booth alongside Burleson and Eagle, having previously taken up the role in Nickelodeon NFL broadcasts during the playoffs.
