When Tom Brady retired from the NFL after 22 season, it was expected that Rob Gronkowski would also follow him there after he returned back to the league after his good friend requested to have him on the Bucs.
Well, Gronk’s latest comments show a man who is not thinking about retirement, in fact, he seems to have plans to join another phenom QB in the making.
Gronkowski, who has long said Tom Brady is the only quarterback he wanted to play with, was asked who he’d want his quarterback to be now that Brady is retired.
“I kinda like this young buck quarterback. He’s in the Super Bowl now: It’s Joe Burrow, man,” Gronkowski said. “I watched him in college. I just love the way he presents himself out on the football field. In the pocket he’s just so calm and he just slings it out on the field.
“I just love his swag, too. If I had to pick a quarterback it’d be the young buck Joe Burrow,” Gronkowski reiterated. “He’s killing it right now in the game.”
At 32 years old, Gronk would be a major upgrade to what the Bengals currently have in their tight ends room and they actually have a bunch of cap space heading into 2022.

Cincinnati’s most productive tight end, C.J. Uzomah, caught 49 passes for 493 yards with five touchdowns. Gronk caught 55 passes for 802 yards in Tampa Bay this season.
It’ll just be up to him whether he wants to ride off into the sunset with Brady.
