Social media is a great tool to get information out to the masses, but as you know, some people tend to use it to cause hell.
For some unknown reason, social media was buzzing last night after a false rumor started that Sony Michel had tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident.
We know it’s fake news as Michel would take to Twitter and reveal that it was ‘Fae news.’
Late last month, Sony Michel shocked everybody when he decided to retire. Rams coach Sean McVay said the running back officially gave him the news during a meeting.
Michel’s surprising decision to retire came one month after he had made the decision to return to the Rams. After winning a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2021, Michel signed with the Chargers in 2022 before making the decision to re-sign with McVay’s team late last month.

Although Michel only played five seasons in his career, he will be walking away with two Super Bowl rings.
The Patriots made Michel a first-round pick in 2018 and he became a major contributor as he won a Super Bowl in his rookie year. After spending three total seasons with the Patriots, Michel ended up getting traded to the Rams before the start of the 2021 season. The trade ended up working out well for Michel, who would win his second Lombardi Trophy when the Rams beat the Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI.
