It was a tough day for individuals working on NFL fields across America on Sunday.
It started in Dallas, where Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase took out a sound guy along the sidelines after being run out of bounds during a game against the Cowboys.
Not long after, it was a security guard working in the back of the end zone at Allegiant Stadium who was on the wrong end of a brutal collision.
Facing 4th-and-1 from the Raiders’ 11-yard line, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray tried to hit Zach Ertz in the end zone, but he overthrew him by just a tad. The result was Ertz bobbling and dropping the pass, while going crashing into the back of the unsuspecting security guard’s legs.
The security guard could be seen laying on the ground in pain after the play.

Twitter saw it all, and they immediately were concerned about the man’s condition:
Thankfully, it appears as though the security guard was able to make it to his feet and walk away from this scary incident.
Perhaps the NFL and their stadiums should reconsider having security guards stand so close to the action with their backs turned to the play. This could have ended a lot worse than it apparently did.
As for the game itself, well, that ended about as horribly as it could have for Raiders fans, as the Cardinals erased a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter and won the game in overtime on a fumble return for a touchdown.
