‘NFL RedZone’ host Scott Hanson savagely bodied a fan who tried ripping the show on social media this week.
The fan sparked the reaction when he described ‘RedZone’ as a “complete waste of money.”
“You’re basically just watching highlights for a few hours. In a time where social media is so quick, it’s completely useless,” he claimed.
Hanson defended the show he’s become popular for hosting, suggesting the fan was only criticizing the show for attention.
“My hottest take is that you posted this for attention… not because you actually thought it through & believe it,” he wrote. “But hey – if you actually *do* believe it – no worries. Enjoy the commercials and standing in the huddle shots & 9 additional looks at a replay when 1 is conclusive and… oh dear, I’ve run out of characters.”

He then explained why he opted to respond to the fan’s take.
“If he wants to watch 1 game – that’s his prerogative,” he added. “But just know: his future NFL hot takes are based on… wait for it… watching 1 game.”
Other fans absolutely loved the fiery responses from Hanson.
“NFL redzone is the greatest invention in human history. We’re essentially watching live all game all big plays/scores. It’s a gamblers dream,” one concluded.
“Nobody disrespects Scott Hanson on my watch,” said another.
“OMFG COOK HIM GOAT,” a comment read.
“RedZone is the greatest invention of sports viewing ever!! Scott Hanson is the godfather, Respect,” someone wrote.
“I’m afraid you cooked that loser,” said someone else.

Scott Hanson eventually made peace of sorts with the user, letting him know it was just an exchange of opinion.
“I wish no ill towards you, @410sportsreport,” he insisted. “Truly. You voiced your opinion. I voiced mine. I’m cool to leave it at that if you are. (I recognize this might be more than you bargained for.) I don’t think you’re a bad dude.”
The fan had to concede defeat after receiving such well-thought-out responses from the ‘RedZone’ host.
“This may call for a delete of my account atp,” he admitted.
“Nahhh lean into it lol. Everyone gets cooked at some point,” another fan advised.
Just goes to show: attacking ‘NFL RedZone’ isn’t likely to earn you much support. It remains one of America’s favorite sports shows.
