Nick Bosa has seen the light.
Earlier this month, the 2019 Defensive Rookie of the Year told reporters that he was still trying to decide whether he would get vaccinated against a virus that has caused a global pandemic.
“I’m just evaluating everything right now,” Bosa said. “I haven’t made a decision quite yet. But I’m following the protocols and will see where it goes.”
Many thought he would never do it because people thought he shared the same anti-vax sentiments and ideals as his TikTok girlfriend, who recently got exposed for it as well as being racist comments she made on social media.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Bosa had actually gotten the shot.
“Nick Bosa, who was one of the few 49ers who hadn’t received a COVID-19 vaccination when training camp began, has now been vaccinated, according to a league source,” wrote Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

“There’s a big advantage if you’re vaccinated, and you’re deemed a close-contact,” general manager John Lynch said this week. “If you’re vaccinated, you’re pretty much good. If you’re not vaccinated, you might be out, by virtue of being around someone who may have had it, you might be out for 10 days. You can imagine, that’d be a heck of a way to lose a guy when you have that choice.”
Social media was in shock.
