Jerry Jones can be the gift that keeps on giving.
Dak Prescott has received unfair criticism since he entered the league with the Dallas Cowboys, but that comes with playing for the most polarizing team in the NFL.
After the Cowboys made Prescott one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL — Jerry Jones shocked a bunch of people when he claimed that he wouldn’t be able to handle the scrutiny from the media like Prescott does.
“I’d kill somebody if they put me through what guys go through in the draft when they look at their backgrounds & check every neighbor, every friend they ever had. I’d shoot somebody if they did that (to) me. Dak gets that kind of scrutiny.”

Prescott was a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and had zero expectations coming out of Mississippi State. However, Tony Romo would get injured and his chance would come to prove himself. He threw for 23 touchdowns and four interceptions in his rookie campaign and basically forced Romo into retirement.
Fast forward to the offseason last year and neither side would agree to a long-term and Dak would be forced to play on the franchise tag. It would only last five weeks as a horrific leg injury ended his season.
Months after that injury, the Cowboys showed their commitment to Prescott by recently agreeing to a four-year deal that is worth up to $164 million.
