The Damar Hamlin clone theories are still circulating following the safety’s recovery after he fell victim to cardiac arrest in early January.
The conspiracy claims were given some wheels on the back of the player’s appearance at Super Bowl 57 on Sunday, with certain fans claiming Hamlin died on January 2 and now has a clone. They’re also claiming the clone wears large coats to help with the disguise.
Hamlin, who wore a Takashi Murakami Varsity jacket and sunglasses to the Super Bowl on Sunday, was honored on the field prior to the contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chief while accompanied by various medical personnel and staff who helped save his life.
While the appearance should have squashed the clone rumors, folks still managed to find a reason for retaining their claims as he kept his shades on. There were also questions pertaining to where the Bills player’s neck tattoo disappeared in images circulating on social media. The photos fooled some people, but some fans caught on quickly enough.
The Pittsburgh Pirates tattoo is not as visible in lower-quality fan videos, while it appears someone airbrushed the ink off the player’s neck in the photos going around. Videos of better quality clearly show that the tattoo is still there.
