There was little doubt that the Arizona Cardinals would go into Chicago and take care of Matt Nagy’s underachieving Bears during their week 13 contest earlier today. Everyone expected it, which makes this all the more embarrassing for the Arizona Cardinals’ social media team.
They had to be prepared for the victory. They had time to think about exactly what they would post to their Twitter account after the get the win. And yet, they still went with this:
I kid you not. Someone actually designed this, probably showed it to a couple of people to get their approval, then posted it for the world to see.
I guess the Cards’ social team didn’t quite see it, but the rest of Twitter was quick to notice something just wasn’t right about the image…It looks a lot like a turd…or a dong. Take your pick.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:

Some did end up realizing that the Cards were actually trying to depict Chicago’s famous Cloud Gate (aka The Bean) in the shape of an “L.”
The team got the W, but Cardinals Twitter is definitely holding that L tonight.
With the win over the Bears, Arizona improves to 10-2 on the season, which is tops in the NFL. Things couldn’t be going any better for Kliff Kingsbury’s club, as they got back Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins for today’s contest. They’re firing on all cylinders right now, so maybe next time their Twitter manager will have something better ready for their next win.
