Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is like millions of other social media users who are mourning the eventual loss of TikTok.
Jackson, who has over 1 million followers, finally broke his silence on the app when he posted for the first time in four months.
For his first post in 2025, Mahomes decided to address the impending shutdown, barring any last-minute action from the Supreme Court.
“Since the app is getting banned, I thought y’all would miss your favorite (creator) on the platform!” he captioned one of the videos.
Once that video made its way to X, formerly Twitter, he began to receive heavy backlash from social media.
“Reasons to ban TikTok: 1. This dude. 2. China. 3. This dude again,” one fan said.

Jackson Mahomes made sure to keep his nose out of trouble during the 2024 season. He had no choice after what he had dealt with the season prior.
Prosecutors Dropped Three Felony Charges Against Jackson Mahomes
Mahomes was accused of grabbing a woman by her neck and forcibly kissing a woman at the restaurant in February 2023. Mahomes allegedly forcibly kissed a 40-year-old owner and shoved a 19-year-old waiter more than once, the owner and waiter told the Kansas City Star.
He was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and three counts of aggravated sexual battery.
Prosecutors in Kansas dismissed three felony charges in January 2024.
The court filing cited a lack of cooperation from the alleged victim.
Jackson Mahomes was virtually invisible throughout 2024 as a result of his actions the previous year.
