Being a Kansas City Chiefs fan these past few years with Patrick Mahomes has been nothing but roses and bubbles. It’s not often the fan base paid much attention to the schedule as the team is always good enough to beat the best of the best.
Things may be very different in 2022 after the team traded away Tyreek Hill and several teams made some great additions to their squad. Although Kansas City has made the playoffs every year since 2015, even reaching two consecutive Super Bowls in 2020 and 2021, they haven’t picked up any true star-free agents this offseason yet.
They have picked up receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling in recent days, but that is not nearly enough to replace a dynamic WR in Hill.
Patrick Mahomes ranked fourth in the NFL in passing yards last season, and he will be facing Chargers star Justin Herbert who ranked second, and Raiders QB Derek Carr who ranked fifth. Earlier this month, the Broncos picked up quarterback Russell Wilson which will stir up the AFC West quarterback battle even more.

No matter what the Chiefs lost this offseason, you’d have to be crazy to count out the Chiefs in anyway. This team was just a choke job away from going to yet another Super Bowl last season and they have plans of being right back in that spot in 2022.
