If NFL fans had a chance to choose who should play Sean Payton in a Netflix movie, it likely would not be the below actor, but that is exactly what happened anyway.
Sean Payton is one of the most renowned head coaches in NFL history, and now his story will be getting told in the form of a Netflix movie.
Netflix managed to get Kevin James to play the role of Payton in the upcoming movie titled “Home Team.” The trailer for the highly anticipated movie dropped on Tuesday.

The movie will center on the 2012 NFL season when Payton was suspended by the NFL for the bounty scandal involving the Saints. During his time away from professional football Payton served as an assistant coach for his son’s sixth grade football team. Taylor Lautner plays his son’s football coach.
Payton approved the script himself and welcomed the cast to New Orleans for a visit at the team facility during the offseason.
The move premieres on Netflix on January 28, 2022.
