The NFL is one of the world’s big four premier sports leagues. To maintain its status as one of the top-earning sports leagues, it needs to ensure that its players are well-protected and comfortable on the field.
Fans are always asking how the league makes every player look perfectly fitted in their cleats and how the helmets look as though they were personally made for that player.
Well, these questions have been answered after a recent social media post went viral. The post showed how a Seahawks rookie was fitted for his equipment, and NFL fans are absolutely loving the rare inside look at the process.
According to the video, players wear a crazy head-scanning hood, which the equipment team scans to create the perfect helmet for them. Then, they get their feet scanned to help them find their ideal foot measurements immediately.
The Way NFL Equipment Is Fitted Is Absolutely Insane
One fan was absolutely amused by the fact that we got some interesting behind-the-scenes footage of a rookie getting fitted as he replied on X, stating, “More and more behind-the-scenes stuff, this is awesome.”

Another fan even pointed out the difference between the pros and the high school players, and it’s a pretty drastic difference, to say the least. He replied, “In high school, I would have to grab a helmet out of the bin on the first day of practice.”
As the NFL tries to release more behind-the-scenes content, whether from the league or the teams themselves, one thing is for sure: We all need to see how they are doing this stuff because it’s absolutely jaw-dropping!
