Michael Thomas is running routes is what seems like the first time in years.
The New Orleans Saints WR dropped a 30-second video on his Instagram stories that showed him going full speed and running routes on the field.
Saints coach Dennis Allen said a couple of weeks ago that Thomas was “making significant progress.”
It seems like a lifetime ago when Michael Thomas set NFL records and became the 2019 offensive player of the year. He would end that season with 1,725 yards and 9 touchdowns. Since then, he spent a majority of the 2020 season on the bench due to injury and did not even see the field for the duration of the 2021 season.
Thomas will be looking to silence all of his doubters this season and he’ll have Jameis Winston behind center who also has something to prove in this league.
The Saints are stacked at the position with Jarvis Landry, first-round choice Chris Olave, Marquez Callaway, Tre’Quan Smith, and Deonte Harty also in the receivers room.

If Thomas can return to form, it could bode very well for a team that does not have Drew Brees or Sean Payton on the current team.
