Football fans are teeing off on Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, over her interesting Halloween costume following comments on Taylor Swift.
As every NFL fans know, Taylor Swift has garnered plenty of NFL coverage because of her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. The two have been together for more than a year now, and Swift can be seen watching most Chiefs games.
During the latest edition of “The Morning After” podcast that she co-hosts with Hank Winchester, Mrs. Stafford admitted to being both “jealous” and tired of the NFL coverage Swift has received, though she’s also “thankful” for how the Grammy Award-winning singer has helped grow the game’s popularity among girls:
“I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it, actually the NFL’s coverage, of this budding relationship last year. And can she do anything about that? No, she can’t…”I watched my husband work his a** off and all of these guys who work for the league work their a**es off and all of a sudden they’re like the sideshow…
I am so thankful for her in a lot of ways because there are so many more women watching, there are little girls watching with their dads and I do think it definitely makes my girls love football more knowing that she’s adjacent to it.”
But here’s where things get bizarre: Kelly and Matthew Stafford dressed up as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, respectively, for Halloween this year:

So as you would have expected, social media wasted no time questioning Kelly’s comments after dressing up as Swift for Halloween:
Regardless of what Kelly said, you can’t deny that her family aced the Taylor Swift and Travi Kelce costumes. Hopefully, Kelce will see this and have his usual charming response for Stafford.
The Los Angeles Rams will try to get back to .500 when they visit the NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon. Kelce and the undefeated Chiefs will try and improve to 8-0 when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”
Taylor Swift’s Status For Bucs-Chiefs Hasn’t Been Announced
Swift is in the midst of her Eras Tour, but she does have the day off to visit Kansas City and watch the Chiefs play Tampa Bay in a Super Bowl 55 rematch. She’s performing at Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts) this weekend, then is off until Nov. 14 when she performs in Toronto, Ontario.
It hasn’t yet been announced if Swift will be at the Bucs-Chiefs game, so stay tuned.
