One of the most highly-anticipated trades of the 2022 offseason finally happened yesterday, as former Browns QB Baker Mayfield was shipped to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a conditional draft pick in 2024—which will be either a fourth- or fifth-rounder, depending on how much playing time Baker gets this season.

Surprisingly, Adam Schefter was silent throughout this entire ordeal. Not a tweet, or even a retweet.
In fact, the last action that his Twitter account has seen was a retweet for a John Keim report about a workout session between Commanders teammates Terry McLaurin and Carson Wentz—which was published at 9:13 on Wednesday morning.
So…where’s Schefty? Is everything okay?
Needless to say, the Twitterverse was wondering the same thing, as many took to social media to ask why the popular ESPN figure was absent when the Baker Mayfield trade broke.
Hopefully Schefty is okay and returns to Twitter soon. We miss him already.
