Social media detectives believe they have uncovered a burner account for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson that hints at which team he’d like to play for next.
Deshaun Watson is off to a miserable start for Cleveland in 2024. He’s lost four of five starts and has just 852 passing yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions while taking a league-high 26 sacks. Watson has been held to under 200 yards passing in each of Cleveland’s five games, too.
There’s no defending the play of a quarterback who was paid $230 million in fully guaranteed money to lead the Browns to a Super Bowl. Remember that 38-year-old Joe Flacco enjoyed a career renaissance and led Cleveland to the playoffs last season after Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.
But fans uncovered an X/Twitter account with the username @VPritchs, which has extensively defended Watson. The user even stated that Watson “would dominate the league” if he was sent to the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Deshaun Watson has far-and-away the most untradeable contract in the NFL. Even if he wants to be traded, and even if he’d like to play for the Steelers, the former Houston Texan can only dream.
The Browns were willing to face the negative PR when they traded for Watson in the 2022 offseason, even though he had been accused of sexual misconduct by more than two dozen women.
Between that and Watson’s play on the field, this has the makings to go down as the worst trade in NFL history when all is said and done.
Deshaun Watson Trade Has Sent The Browns Backwards
The Browns had a capable starting QB in Baker Mayfield, who led Cleveland to 11 wins and a playoff berth in his last healthy season (2020). Mayfield played through various injuries in 2021 to try and keep his team in playoff contention, yet it wasn’t enough for the Browns.
Watson is now the worst starting QB in football. Mayfield is in year two of a career renaissance in Tampa Bay. That’s the Cleveland Browns organization for you.
