After spending the first 14 seasons of his career in Atlanta, veteran quarterback Matt Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts this off season seeking a fresh start. He made his debut for his new team in week one, completing 32 of 50 passes for 352 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Texans in a game which ended in a 20-20 tie.
The 352 passing yards put Matty Ice in elite company, as he became only the eighth quarterback in NFL history to surpass the 60,000 career passing yard plateau. He joins Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers and Dan Marino in the exclusive club.
The Hall Of Fame’s official Twitter page sent out a tweet showing the display with the ball, along with a picture of Ryan. The Twitterverse was quick to notice that the ball was numbered 283 and proceeded to do what they do best… Troll!
