Social media detectives spotted something peculiar about CBS’ stat line graphic for Josh Allen during the Buffalo Bills-New England Patriots game on Sunday.
Josh Allen had a rather pedestrian day against a 3-win Patriots team on Sunday, going 16-of-29 for just 154 yards, a touchdown, one interception and 30 rushing yards in a 24-21 victory. On the other side, Pats rookie QB had 261 passing yards, two touchdowns and one pick in the loss.
With the game winding down, CBS Sports shared a graphic of the final stats for Maye, Allen, Hunter Henry and James Cook. Oddly, however, they didn’t bother to include the one INT on Allen’s graphic:

Sure, maybe Josh Allen’s INT didn’t hurt the Bills as it wound up pinning the Patriots at their own one-yard line. But you can’t help but wonder if their real purpose was to “protect” him by making his stat line look better.
Josh Allen & Bills Keep Pace With Chiefs
With a victory over New England, the Bills keep their slim hopes alive of winning the AFC’s top seed and only first-round bye.
Buffalo should win out with the hapless New York Jets and Patriots next on the schedule. They’ll also need the Chiefs to lose road games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos to lock up the top seed. With the way Kansas City has played, though, it’s not out of the question to think they’re due for a couple of losses against quality opponents.
