The Cleveland Browns are about to feel a wrath similar to the one felt by the Philadelphia Eagles after they signed Michael Vick following his release from jail from dog fighting. The only difference here, however, is that Vick had served his time, while Watson likely won’t have to.
Regardless, fans from all over seem to be incensed by the fact that a team would give up five draft picks (including three first-rounders) to obtain a player who’s facing 22 lawsuits for sexual assault — and then sign him to a contract that would protect him from losing much money should the NFL decide to suspend him for his off-the-field actions.
Despite all the controversy, some Cleveland Browns fans are still celebrating the acquisition of Watson. That includes LeBron James, who took to Twitter to show his joy.
