Unfortunately, some people are not paying attention to the names on Twitter and blasting the wrong person. ESPN host Rachel Nichols has a handle of @Rachel__Nichols on Twitter while actress Rachel Nichols has twitter handle of @RachelNichols1.
Many people are upset at ESPN’s Nichols, but called out the wrong one.
“For the love of all that is good and pure…I wake up to hundreds of angry Tweets NOT MEANT FOR ME. If you’re gonna hate on someone…make sure it’s the CORRECT someone. FFS!”

The ESPN Nichols was caught on a hot mic having a conversation with with LeBron’s advisor, Adam Mendelsohn, while in the Orlando bubble during last year’s NBA Playoffs. The New York Times obtained the audio and released its findings in a recent article.
Nichols vented frustration surrounding ESPN wanting to give Taylor some of Nichols’ responsibilities with the network. She alluded to the fact ESPN was only doing so because of its “crappy” history with diversity within the company.
Mendelsohn then had something to say about the ‘Me Too’ and ‘Black Lives Matter’ movements.
“I don’t know. I’m exhausted,” Mendelsohn said during the conversation. “Between Me Too and Black Lives Matter, I got nothing left.”
