Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was carted off the field with a left knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s 20-9 loss to Washington and his season is over.
Time seemingly stopped as the No. 1 overall pick clutched his left knee in pain when he went down to the ground at FedEx Field.
The initial diagnosis on Burrow’s injury is a torn ACL but there could be additional damage, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
In the hours since the injury went down, slow motion footage has came out showing his knee popping in and out during that game.
Burrow’s day ended going 22-of-34 for 203 yards and one touchdown in what was his 10th career start.
