Miami Dolphins star pass-rusher Jaelan Phillips had to be carted off in Friday’s blowout win over the New York Jets with a gruesome-looking non-contact injury.
The Dolphins will have an update shortly on Phillips after the game, but the injury certainly looks brutal and season-ending in a new slo-mo video. There’s already speculation that it’s a torn ACL or Achilles for the third-year star:
The Dolphins’ defense has struggled with consistency all year long, and losing Phillips for long-term is a big blow for Mike McDaniel and company. The 2021 first-round pick out of Miami entered Week 12 with 5.5 sacks, one interception and one pass defensed in seven games.
