One of the world’s most popular and accomplished rappers is going to work once a week alongside FOX Sports’ Skip Bayless on FS1’s “Undisputed” program.
During the latest edition of “The Skip Bayless Show”, the veteran sports journalist revealed that his friend, Lil Wayne, will have a segment featured on “Undisputed” every Friday (h/t Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post).
“My brother Wayne is at least into the relaunch as I am. He is heart and soul into the relaunch…He is so deep when it comes to sports. He doesn’t yell or scream, but he does get emotional. And you hang on his every word because trust me he has thought through every single word.
I like to think that I see things and say things that others don’t. Wayne is my match. That’s why I love him so much. That’s why we text so much about sports. We’re kindred spirits, but we do see things differently, but very deeply.”
Lil Wayne and Bayless have a close friendship that dates back to over a decade.. A major focal point in Bayless’ broadcasting career has been the shouting and disagreements with his coworkers, so it’ll be interesting to see how he and Lil Wayne work together here.
Bayless has been a co-host of “Undisputed” since the show launched in September 2016. Bayless worked alongside Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end and three-time Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe, who left the show in mid-June.
The show remains on hiatus until FOX executives figure out the long-term direction of the show. Former NFL stars LeSean McCoy and Richard Sherman have been mentioned as potential candidates to replace Sharpe on the program, but it remains to be seen if either will end up joining the show.

Before joining FS1 in 2016, Bayless co-hosted ESPN’s “First Take” with Stephen A. Smith.
FOX announced last month that “Undisputed” will return to the air on Aug. 28, just over a week before the start of the 2023 NFL regular season.
