Skip Bayless likely didn’t man to hurt the feelings of Ezekiel Elliott’s mom, Dawn, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to apologize for being critical of him.
Less than 24 hours after the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Minnesota Vikings, the FS1 host posted a video of himself on Twitter as he tossed Elliott’s jersey into the trash.
“This was probably an overemotional overreaction late (Sunday) night. I just couldn’t help myself,” Bayless wrote.
Elliott, who signed a six-year, $90 million contract extension with $50 million guaranteed in September, who could only muster up 47 yards rushing on 20 carries and it resulted in the Cowboys dropping to 5-4.
Dawn Elliott wasn’t happy and posted back to Bayless.
“I certainly hope I don’t ever see @RealSkipBayless post another pic wearing my son’s jersey.”

Bayless responded to her comments Wednesday on “Undisputed,” stating, “I play no favorites. Even the players I love the most, I give no passes to when they play poorly.
“Does it pain me that Momma Zeke is down? Yes, it does. Yes, it does. But I cannot tell a lie. I cannot defend her son when he doesn’t deserve being defended.”
Dawn seemed to catch Bayless’ explanation and responded back to him.
