On Thursday, six women walked into a courtroom that are part of the 22 plaintiffs who have filed civil suit against Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson for sexual misconduct.
Tony Buzbee, attorney for the plaintiffs, expected 12 of the 22 women to appear at the status conference after hearing defense attorney Rusty Hardin accused many of them of being liars.
“They are here because they’ve been called liars,” Buzbee said. “And they’re not liars.”
Hardin reportedly argued that he cannot identify four of Watson’s accusers because of their names, and asked a judge to compel Buzbee to reveal the last three digits of driver’s license and social security numbers to narrow the scope.
