NFL Fans are losing their minds after details emerged on the hand size of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett.
You may recall that heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, the knock against Kenny Pickett was his small hand size. At his pro day, Pickett’s hand size was measured at 8 and 5/8, as reported at the time by then-NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson seemingly took a shot at Pickett’s small hands by stating, “God gives you a gift to throw a ball, and he gave me big hands to throw it”. per Cassidy Wood of KDKA in Pittsburgh:
Dov Kleiman responded to the viral video by pointing out that Pickett’s hand size is the smallest of any active NFL quarterback:

And social media had all sorts of interesting reactions after Kleiman’s post:
Kenny Pickett was drafted 20th overall by the Steelers in 2022. The Pittsburgh product was the only quarterback taken in round one, but it also didn’t take long for the Steelers to give up on him.
Pickett went 14-10-0 as a starting quarterback, but he only threw for 4,474 yards, 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. The Steelers got into the postseason last year with Mason Rudolph, who got to start their Wild Card Round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.
In April, the Steelers traded Pickett to the Eagles (along with a fourth-round pick) for a 2024 third-round selection and two seventh-round picks. Pickett will back up Jalen Hurts in Philly.
Steelers Completely Rebuilt Their QB Room
Not only did the Steelers trade away Kenny Pickett, but they also released Mitch Trubisky and watched Rudolph leave for the Tennesee Titans in free agency. GM Omar Khan signed Russell Wilson following his release from Denver then traded for ex-Chicago Bears starter Justin Fields.
The new-look Steelers will kick off their 2024 season with a road contest against Kirk Cousins’ Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 8.
